What you'll learn
- Installing and configuring Maester in your own tenant
- Writing custom Pester tests to encode your organization's security policies
- Structuring test suites: EIDSCA, CIS, CISA SCuBA and custom checks
- Scheduling Maester in GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Using Workload Identity Federation instead of stored secrets
- Interpreting the Maester HTML report and remediating findings
- Setting up email alerts for configuration drift
Practical outcome
You leave with a working custom test suite and an automated pipeline. The course emphasizes least-privilege authentication, federated identity instead of long-lived secrets, clear report output, and a workflow for assigning and remediating drift.
Hands-on labs
Students work in a lab tenant, writing and running their own Maester test suite end to end, and wiring it into a CI/CD pipeline of their choice.
